YAY! It's finally here. Today as bring pretty blah... I went to the doctor to get some new allergy tablets, took them and then about an hour later was out of commission for most of the day. Now it's evening and I am cooking a nice and healthy mean and we will accompany that with a nice bottle of wine (Chardonnay from Burgundy, France). In July, my partner and I went on a road trip in France for about 10 days. We visited different regions, all of which were lovely of course. We started the trip in Paris and continued to Champagne for 4 nights and visited Pommery, Mumm, and Taittinger. Then we headed down further to the Burgundy region. Here we stayed in such a lovely B&B set in the idyllic country side of France on the outskirts of Beaune. Which I might add that Beaune was such a neat little city, if you want to call it that. We did some wine tastings (bought quite a bit of wines to fill up our rack) and I came to the conclusion that Pinot Noir is now my favourite red and Chardonnay my favourite white. At our stay at the B&B we met a lovely couple (German woman & Irish man) who live in London. They had both lived in France before and that was actually how that met YEARS, living in Paris. We enjoyed breakfast daily at the communal table as well as an evening with complimentary Cremant de Bourgogne (Burgundy's version of champagne..delicious) and listening to the German woman play the piano! We ended the trip in Amboise which is located in Loire Valle, visiting a few Chateau's and doing a few wine tastings.
